Okay, excuse the strong sentiment…
But this is exciting. My first authorial website. With plans to blog about both my debut novel series entitled FIRST PASSION as well as my first nonfiction work entitled…can I get a drum roll, please…NIGHT BLESSINGS!
My novel is set back in 1979, on and around the small Baptist campus of Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, an unlikely place for serious drama and depraved crime. But that’s exactly what happens to my dual protagonist heroes, just when they’re starting to make a life together.
Shane Michaelson and Jeannie Harris are quite a duo. Fun. Smart-aleck. Daring. Witty. Both of them talented and intellectually brilliant. But both of them secretly sad, deeply wounded, emotionally challenged. Both of them afraid of their strong attraction to one other…and having a very different set of morals when it comes to dating intimacy.
And neither of them is ready for the kind of psycho-malevolent persecution coming at them when they’re least ready for it…an incomprehensible crime perpetrated near a conspicuously Christian campus.
As for my nonfiction book NIGHT BLESSINGS, it’s all about what a good husband can do for his wife to bless her, just before she falls asleep! Nothing can build her up like the sound of the Word in her ears, especially written and spoken gently just for her–and her alone.
